Self-funded research group The economy of food industry qualifications

Presentation
Research in economics is carried out in partnership between the Institut National de Recherche Agronomique (INRA) and the Unité de Recherche sur l'Economie des Qualifications agro-alimentaires (UREQUA) located in Le Mans. The group is composed of 10 researchers and aims at mobilising the experience of three teams within the Department of Economics and Rural Sociology of the INRA: economics, sociology and management.

The research programme of the INRA-UREQUA group concern the analysis of food product qualification processes. They focus on consumer behaviour, individual and collective strategies and on the role of institutions in quality standard negotiations. These programmes allow an assessment of the relevancy and the impact of specific techniques.
