The avian and swine clinic offers people working in the avian, swine and duck industries, technical and scientific support through on-farm investigation and research-development action.
This action is taken within the context of veterinary theses monitored by teachers-research scientists from the team.
These projects can be related to any aspect of animal health, food safety and quality.
They can lead to more substantial research programmes taken on by the research groups of the National Veterinary College of Toulouse.
Thus, the study of an emerging disease in geese recently resulted in the discovery of a new polyomavirus and to the development of a future vaccine.

In addition, a study on the Postweaning Multisystemic Wasting Syndrome (MAP) in piglets is currently being initiated.
